The Bull Hotel 3 Peaks Challenge

Scafell Pike
4 hours, 3,210 feet (978m),
2,979 ft ascent, 7.25 miles

Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa)
3 hours 45 minutes,
1085 metres (3560 feet),
2,382 ft ascent, 9 miles

Starting Ben Nevis at 16:19pm with The Bull Hotel, with 6ft of snow on the Ben, the weather was just the best, with views out to the Inner Hebrides. To complete Ben Nevis in 6 hours with the snow conditions was great going - now we had time to make up though! A hot meal awaited us at the minibus prepared by our driver/chef Peter. On to Scafell Pike which we started in the dark at 4:05am. With 80 mile an hour winds on the summit we still managed a good summit time of 2 hours and 5 mins. We powered down completing Wendy and Billy's first scramble in a total time of 4 hours. On to Snowdon which we start at 12:32pm leaving us less than 4 hours to complete the challenge - tight. With yet more 80 mile an hour gusts on the summit, and running the last 2km we come in comfortably within the 24 hours at 23 hours and 45 minutes!
